Warburton Trail / Yarra Valley
The Warburton Rail Trail runs from Lilydale Station through to the lovely little town of Warburton. The trail is approximately 40 km in distance one way. It is a well maintained gravel surface. It is shared by cyclists, walkers and horseriders alike. The trail runs through the old stations of Mt Evelyn , Wandin, Seville, Killara, Woori Yallock, Launching Place, Yarra Junction Wesburn and Millgrove . Surrounded by the Dandenong Ranges and the Great Dividing Range you pass through the most picturesque scenery of farmlands, vineyards and bushland.
The Dandenong Ranges has the most beautiful walks and small towns. You can catch the famous Puffing Billy to Gembrook with your bicycle(booking necessary). Pedal Pickups to drive you across to the Warburton Trail and cycle home. Cycle the mountain or to Silvan Reservoir. Experience the wonderful forested areas with the towering mountain ash. The walks are endless and cafes and shops abound. Pack a picnic lunch and enjoy at the many picnic spots
O'Shannessy Aqueduct Trail
The O'Shannessy Aqueduct Trail is a beautiful extension of the Warby Trail or just ride it on its own. It is approximately 27km one way and is the old maintenance road for the O'Shanessy Aqueduct. It is beautfully forested with Mountain Ash and tree ferns. It has been hidden away and you can now enjoy its beauty and serenity.
